PURPOSE
The main purpose for the Extended Daycare Program is to provide the child with supervision in a safe and healthy environment before and after school in a Christian atmosphere.
GOALS
Our Extended Daycare Program will:
- provide extended daycare in a Christian atmosphere.
- create a social bond among children of different ages and grade levels.
- provide opportunities for quiet study time for those students who wish to complete homework.
- provide supervised playtime in and out of doors.
- provide your child with time to enjoy games, books, puzzles, art and other activities.
- keep fees low, but insure financial self-sufficiency of the Daycare Program.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help School Extended Daycare Program provides service only for students currently enrolled at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School.
ENROLLMENT AND EMERGENCY FORMS
A copy of the school Emergency Address Card will be on file in Day Care for every child. It is your responsibility to notify the Day Care workers when information changes occur.
EMERGENCY POLICY
In the event of an emergency, all possible measures will be taken to contact the parents. If the parents are reached, we will follow your plan of action. If we cannot reach the parents, the additional persons whose names appear on the Emergency Card will be called. If the emergency is life threatening, we will seek appropriate emergency assistance.
FEE SCHEDULE
| Daycare provided | |
|---|---|
| 1 child | $2.25 per hour |
| 2 children | $3.50 per hour |

All Daycare payments must remain current. Families whose accounts are past due more than 60 days will not be eligible for Daycare services. Services may resume once payment is made and account is brought current. A late fee of $20 will be applied.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Our Lady of Perpetual Help School Extended Daycare Program operates between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We find it necessary to charge a late fee of $15 for each 15 minute increment (or fraction of 15 minutes) when staff is kept after 6:00 p.m.
If the staff is kept waiting one-half hour past 6:00 p.m. these procedures are followed:
-
A call is made to parents of the child. If there is no response, then
-
A call is made to responsible person(s) listed on the emergency address card.
-
If there is no response, then phone calls will continue until parent/responsible person is reached.
-
If there is no response by 8:00 p.m. the Sheriff's department will be called.
Parents/guardians who arrive late (after 6:00 p.m.) may be notified in writing after the third time that the student will be excluded from Extended Day Care.
Please contact Extended Daycare at 443-6215 if an emergency arises.
EARLY SCHOOL ARRIVALS / LATE PICKUPS
Students who arrive at school before 7:50 a.m. are required to attend the Extended Daycare Program. Students who are not picked up by 2:40 p.m. are required to attend the Extended Daycare Program. NO exceptions are made to this policy as there is no other adult supervision for students. We suggest that parents who must have their children arrive at school before 7:50 a.m. or who cannot pick up their children before 2:40 p.m. make alternative arrangements if they choose not to participate in the Day Care Program.
